The specificity of our approach is to take into account the intercultural dimension of the projects and to set up cultural mediation mechanisms to facilitate communication between actors from heterogeneous worlds, as well as to dissipate the difficulties they may encounter in working together effectively.

All too often projects involving partners from heterogeneous worlds fail and do not achieve the objectives initially set: the partners stumble either by the illusion of sharing the same concerns, values and objectives, or by the feeling that they cannot understand each other and establish a common basis for acting together.

Inter-Culturel thus sets up cultural mediation mechanisms to facilitate communication between actors from heterogeneous worlds and dissipate the difficulties of working together.

Our practice of mediation is based on the apprehension of the singularities of ways of thinking and relating, of aspirations, of ways of doing things... It proposes a device for translating each person’s experience, bringing into play the translatable and the untranslatable, the unsuspected affinities and the irreducible gaps in these experiences. In doing so, it minimizes misunderstandings and maximizes the conditions for encounter and effective joint action.
